The wounded deer.

This wounded deer in the painting represent the artist herself since she had a lot of pain at that time.
1. The deer with a human head with injuries.
2.The foreground with damaged trees.
3. The comparison between the foreground and the background.
These thing shows the pain of the artist. Frida Kahlo painted this painting to express her feelings.

'The wounded deer' : Frida Kahlo's wounded heart

'The wounded deer' is one of Frida Kahlo's most famous paintings. In this painting, Frida expressed her feelings, her pains by  drawing a deer in a forest. What I meant by that, This wounded deer in the painting represent the artist herself since she had a lot of pain at that time.
To begin with, the deer is not actually a deer, is a monster with a human head. According to the portraits of Frida Kahlo, this deer has a head of her face. To be more specific, this deer represent part of herself. As we can see, the deer with Frida's face is shot by nine arrows. There are four arrows near the heart of the deer, and five arrows on its body.  There is one arrow shoots it's heart where has the most blood on the wound, this represent Frida's heartbroken.  However, even if the deer is shot by many arrows, it's expression shows its calmness and equanimity.  This is a weird  thing of this painting, this probably means the deer which represent Frida Kahlo is numb that it cannot feel any pain. This exactly shows how painful she was at that time.
