Dear Ray:
  Hi, I am a student who studied business and saw your case of failure as an example in my study. I am writing this email to you after I saw what you did with your negotiation, and I want to give you some suggestions .
  You may regard yourself as a successful businessman, and as you have the  ability of dealing affair, you can be one literally. But practically, you can't because you are too arrogant.
  We cannot avoid the reality that you failed to finish this business with your customers, as you can see, the way you dealing with real people is wrong. You can say that this failure of this trade is not your fault, people fail  all the time. And yet the thing is that you didn't admit that you were wrong in  the first place. You probably thought you showed your confidence in business, but the definition of confidence and arrogance is totally messed up to you. You showed your arrogance to your customers, but you didn't show your respect. If you respect others, others would respect you. You said that ' I will never do business with you disrespectful people!' That was rude actually. That is what I am talking about, you need to be respectful first.
   Furthermore, you are supposed to to listen to others. Being modest is one shortcut to success. When Winda warned you that your own idea wouldn't work, you still insisted doing that, which was so wrong.  She also warned about' unusual means',which means these customers may be mean to you, but you refused to accept  Winda's suggestion. What I meant by that, you deserve this failure because you were not being modest. You should not stand from your own perspective to do this business, if you insist on that, you would be a bigot. Suggestions are very important to listen to even they may not right.  The people who gave you suggestions may be more experienced than you, they may be old hands in doing business. Your have to balance the suggestions other give you and your own ideas.
  Generally speaking, you need to put down your arrogance, and be respective but critical. You have to listen to others' opinions, even they may not right, there are part of the suggestions that you can invoke.

How make a creative writing

          There are many best-selling books every year, but some books are boring and no one wants to spend one second to take a look at it. What's the difference between these books? The difference is their ways have been written.  Some authors know how to make a book interesting, but some don't. So,what is the art of writing ?
           From my point of view, to make a creative writing interesting requires the the novel title of the writing, and the creative content of the writing, even use of imagination.
            A writing would be not appealing if it just state its opinions without anything novel. From my perspective, a creative writing need us to think out of box, we cannot be restricted within the title of the writing. For example,if someone ask us to write an essay about the change of the world; we should not only classify the changes, such as political changes, substantial ones, but also we need to think about how do the people in our daily life reveal the changes of the world during those years. Thus, writing is not only to write, but it is accompanied with thinking.
         Furthermore, the content , or we can say the type of the writing is important. What I meant by that , a creative writing may be boring because the way that the author write is not attractive to the viewers. For instance, if somebody wants to write a argumentation of the racism, and yet it may only concern the difference that people are treated, the author is supposed to think about different point with examples to capture viewers ' eyes.
         What I just talked about is important, but this one is the bonus for a creative writing: the use of imagination I a creative writing. If our life lacks  imagination it will be dull. Thus , imagination plays a key role to people.
The use of imagination in a creative writing will definitely catch readers' internet in keeping reading this book, that is also the reason why people love to read fictions.  Just as what I said, imagination is the extra bonus for a creative writing, a writing may have discount in viewers' minds if it is lack of imagination.
       In this week, I made up a story of the painting which is called' The Wounded Deer' . Someone told that my story is very imaginative since I narrate a story of a deer with a human head who was accursed by the pope.
When I wrote this story,I was thinking about how to connect the story with the painting that I have chose. By chance, I had heard the story of religion in history class, so it inspired me to make up a story during Medieval time. I use many mysterious plots in the story which had connection to the religion. I fully used my imagination to make up the story , and I connected it to the main object of the painting, which is the deer with a human's head.
    Generally speaking, I learned how to organize and to make a creative writing this week, and I expanded my skills of connecting things in order t make the plot of the story coherent.

                                            Psyche of  Agnes
   During the Medieval time, there was a story of a poor deer with a human's head. Its psyche hasn't been released till today.
   Agnes  , who was a beautiful girl living in a small. She is diligent and intelligent. However, one thing strange about her was that : Disasters happened no matter where she went. Many people  were afraid of her, and they thought she was a witch who was evil.  She was cursed by a gypsy since she was born because her mother used to be the enemy of the royalty.  Her mother was the queen of the kingdom, but after she refused to kill people who disbelieve Catholics.The pope was angry, so when Agnes was born, he put a curse on her.
  One day, Agnes was playing with a little boy in the field. They ran like winds and they laugh out loud. However, when they played the game hide-and-seek in the cornfield,Agnes pretended to scare him, and the boy then was tripped by a rock on the ground, and he died. The boy's parents were depressed and angry; they went to the palace to see the pope and said that Agnes is a witch who  disobeyed the god. Agnes meant no harm, but she could do nothing, because she something bad always happen no matter where she go.
  On the next morning, while Agnes was having a nightmare she heard soldiers were sent outside her house to catch her and execute her as a witch. She began to run away from her home, and her speed got faster and faster , soldiers chasing after her with arrows and swords, and horses were galloping .She hated that she was cursed when she was born; every child was supposed to be born with innocence. And yet the soldier were getting closer. Suddenly, a deer popped up, and it made her fall on the ground. The deer has a pair of pure eyes, it seems like it has a pure psyche, the. It began to talk ' I was sent by Jesus to come here to help you. The only way you can save yourself now is to combine with my body ,but you will never be back to human again. '. Agnes heard the soldiers were coming, she nodded without hesitation. A lightning came from the sky, the deer and Agnes become as a whole.  Agnes, or the deer began to run very fast,and the soldier couldn't catch up with her.
   Finally, Agnes got away from the soldier. But the disaster hadn't finished yet. The royalty who cursed Agnes found that Agnes ran away from the soldiers, they were very upset. They told the pope and the pope cursed her again , he summoned a storm in the forest in Oder for Agnes to suffer.
  Agnes was tired and sleepy, but she realized that a storm was going to happen.  Finally,the storm was roaring like a monster , it destroyed the trees and broke them into pieces, a stick fell down and kicked Agnes and  hurt her legs.
  Agnes was lying on the ground, and bleeding. She was crying for help, but something unfortunate happened. A hunter was then came put after the storm to hunt, he found that there was a deer lying on the  ground growing, he was so surprised. Then he used the arrows to shot the deer which is Agnes, Agnes wanted to avoid the arrows,but this time, she failed because she got hurt.
   She look up the sky, and feel numb. This is how her life end? She can feel that Jesus I'd calling her name and let her die peacefully . She closed her eyes,and never woke up again. Her soul hovered between the heaven and  hell because she was cursed by the pope.

Improvements on essay

Personally speaking, I think the structure of the essay worked well. Before I wrote it, I list a structure of my essay so that I would be clear what I am going to write about. But the difficult part was to  state a thesis. I was not pretty sure how the thesis was like, and it is hard for me to think of one. However, after the help of the teacher,I figured it out. Yet I still need more practices. The weakness that I think my essay have is that it lacks details for my opinions of the painting. I talked about my opinions of the painting, but I didn't explain why I thought that way, after revising, I added some details follow the sentences.  Plus, when I tried to explain something, I found  that I cannot describe the thing that I want to express , which means I need to work hard on writing English.
If I could have more time on my essay, I would not only talked about my own opinions of the painting;I would do some research on the internet and find evidence to support my opinions and ideas. Plus, I would find a stronger thesis to support my essay and create more logical sentences to connect my thoughts together.

The analysis of the painting

'The Wounded Deer’: Frida Kahlo's wounded heart

This painting called 'the wounded deer' is one of Frida Kahlo's most famous paintings. According to the Flickr , Frida expresses the disappointment which followed the operation on her spine in New York in 1946, and which she had optimistically hoped would cure her of her back pain.'(https://www.flickr.com/photos/. 28433765@N07/4308193235/)In this painting, Frida expressed her feelings, her pains by drawing a deer in a forest. What I meant by that, her pains were shown by the wounds and the numb expression.

To begin with, the deer is not actually a deer, it is  a hybrid of a deer and human. According to the portraits of Frida Kahlo, this deer has a head of her face. To be more specific, this deer represents part of herself. As we can see, the deer with Frida's face is shot by nine arrows, and it is lying on the ground.There are four arrows near the heart of the deer, and five arrows on its body. An arrow shoots its heart , and the deer is bleeding. From my point of view, this represents that Frida was heartbroken. However, even if many arrows shot the deer, its expression shows its calmness and equanimity. This is a weird thing of this painting; this probably means the deer, which represents Frida Kahlo, is numb that it cannot feel any pain. This exactly shows how painful she was at that time, maybe the wounds hurt a lot so that she couldn’t feel painful, which explains her numb expression.

The deer is the main content of the painting. However, the scene is very important as well. Take a close look to the painting; the deer is in a forest with damaged trees around, the trees have no leaves on them. There is a broken stick in front of the deer. Perhaps, a lightening just happened. The interesting thing is that this stick has leaves on it, unlike other trees. If these trees symbolize the hope, the meaning of the stick is that the final hope has shattered. Then, the, background is a beautiful blue ocean. However, it can be seen that there is a huge cloud above the ocean. From my point of view, it looks like a tornado just came or the tornado is coming. Owing to that tornado is always destructive in daily life; this may represent the difficulties in Frida’s life.

At last, the comparison of the foreground and the background is so intense. To be more specific, the foreground is covered with dark colors. The trees are painted in dark green and black,and the deer is painted in brown. There is only one bright part of the foreground, which is the place the stick lies on. That area is painted in a lighter green. To compare, the background, which is the ocean part is brighter. Frida Kahlo use blue and white with a little black to depict the scene in the sea. The ocean part seems big and wide where as the foreground make people feel narrow. This method emphasizes the narrowness of the foreground. The painting indicates that the deer is trapped in the wood even though the freedom is close to it, and it is shot by arrows, which implies that Frida's mind was mentally restricted at that time.

To sum up, this painting was a way for Frida Kahlo to express her pain. She used a subtle way to show what she was suffering. However, the strange combination of the deer and the human’s head captured viewers’ attention.  Generally speaking, this painting left viewers’ many mysteries to guess.

  This painting called ' The Wounded Deer' is one of the paintings that was painted by Frida Kahlo to express herself. This painting shows the pain that Frida Kahlo had been suffered for the following reasons.
  First of all, in the foreground, we can see that there's an animal that has a body of a deer and a head of human, which is creepy. According to the portraits of Frida Kahlo, we can infer that this head is Frida herself. Plus, this deer-human hybrid is shot by nine arrows, which indicates that Firda is suffering from something in her mind, and this is her only way to express herself.
  Secondly, this painting has a theme of darkness. To be more specific, to focus on the trees in the foreground, it is obviously that these trees are damaged by something, and there is a broken stick in front of this animal with a human head. Furthermore, there is a cloud in the background, it looks like a tornado. According to my assumption,  the tornado has happened in the forest and then gone. However, there is an ocean behind the forest, but the deer cannot reach the ocean. This may imply that Frida has met some difficulties in life but she couldn't get away from.
  In addition, the intense comparison between the ocean in the background and the dark forest in the foreground remind us of Van Gogh's ' wheat field with crows'. What does this comparison represent? From my point of view, the deer represent Frida Kahlo, the trees represent the situation she was in, and the ocean means the psychological and physical freedom. She was desirable to seek for freedom, yet she was restricted by the difficulties she met. This painting is a way to express her feelings.
      Generally speaking, this painting implies the difficulties Frida Kahlo has met, and this painting is the dark side of herself. I love this painting because it's creative, and she didn't express her feeling directly in the painting, instead, she let us to guess what she was hiding.

      I have made a collage of my opinions of writing. There are many parts that inwant to describe.
    To begin with,  I just want to say that I love writing. Writing is my favorite thing to do beside listening to music. The reason why I love writing is that writing is a way for me to express my feelings and secrets, even complaints. I put the reasons why I love writing in the collage because I feel like I want to they'll everybody that writing is an interesting thing to do. Plus,  I love. To write in my iPad, by typing. It is because that using pen will make my hands feel sore if I write for a long time and I really have a long-time writing.
   The reason I love writing is not the only thing that I put in my collage, I also put what I love to write about in my collag. Of course, just as what I mentioned before, writing is a way for expression. Thus, I love to write journals. When I am not busy, I will use some time to write a journal. Also, when I prepare to go to bed, if I have time to write a journal, I will do that. Writing makes me feel like I am talking to somebody, and that person is the one that I trust the most because he won't tell anybody.
    Then I put my favorite quote in the collage. Personally speaking, I love collecting quotes form series, movies,books, novels,and such. Some of them have real deep meaning,  some of them are simple but they enlighten me. These quotes shows there so laity of myself, people can see what type of person I am through these quotes. However, I also collect quotes about crimes, because my favorite series is ' Criminal Minds', in this series, there are many famous quotes, so I love to write down them.
   Finally, I wrote about my favorite place to write. It actually depends on my mood, I I always write things down when I am not feeling well, or I have nobody to talk with,  I love to write on my bed sometimes because I feel relaxed on bed.

Three personal goals

In this writing&composition class, the most important thing that I want to do is to improve my English. To be more specific, I want to have improvements in grammar when I writing an essay or composition. Secondly, I wish I will be able to analyze essays from different aspects such as it's content, plot, characters, meanings. Thirdly, I look forward to learning other forms of literature. What I meant by that, I wish I can write poems, or argumentation.
In short, I  wish I will feel like I am writing or speaking Chinese when I writing or speaking English,

3 songs that represent my life.

'Rather be' is the song that can represent my current life the most for following reasons. I came so far from China to America, it was a challenge for me. Sometimes I feel depressed since I cannot be with my family and my friends for few months. However, my mum reminded me of my purpose here: I wouldn't come here if I don't want to go to an ideal college. China's Education system is quite different from America's education system,and I prefer the second one. Just as the lyrics in this song '  when I am with you, there's no place I'd rather be'. To me, this 'you' is not a person, is my goal in CA. Therefore, this song can describe the situation I am in right now.

The second song that can represent my life is 'believe' which was sang by Justin Bieber. This is an encouraging song about being successful. It says that' Everything starts from something, something would be nothing, nothing if your heart didn't dream with me,where would I be? If you didn't believe 'I learned not to be afraid of improving, I may be not out-standing at the moment,and yet I should keep trying until I reach my goal. Plus, I chose this song has another reason; I used to be shy to everybody, and I was not confident, but after listening to this song, I realized that I need to be brave to try. If I don't believe in myself, I will not be able to achieve.What I have to do is to be confident, and persistent, I believe that one day I would be distinctive.

The last song can help me to find out who I am is 'Live while we are young' which was sang by One Direction.When I put on the earphones and listen to this song , I can feel energy going through my body.  'Let's go crazy crazy crazy till we see the sun' It shows how should I live since I am still young, and I am supposed to be chase my dream and be crazy about life. Youth is treasure, there is limited time that people can be crazy.
